The Accounting Intern will work with the HQ Accounting Department for day-to-day tasks and projects during the internship. The role is salary non-exempt, working 2-3 days per week during the day (Monday to Friday), start of internship to depend on student’s availability. Applicants should be at sophomore level or above.The position is located at our HQ in Sterling Heights, MI and will report to our Accounting Manager.Position Responsibilities:Creating and uploading Journal EntriesCompleting Account Reconciliations through Blackline softwareUploading month-end trial balances into Tagetik reporting systemSupporting Accounts Payable functionCommunicating with various departments and operations throughout our North American structureUsing Excel to complete spreadsheetsUsing Google G-Suite for emails/documents/spreadsheets and communicationsOther duties as assigned by managerLet’s talk about you…Required:Working on a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or financeKnowledge of basic accounting principlesExcellent communication skills both written and verbalAbility to thrive in a deadline-driven, team environment, while also delivering independent resultsRelationship building skillsDriven, enthusiastic, and highly motivatedHigh attention to detail and ability to multitaskProficient Excel skills Preferred:Preferably around sophomore or junior year of collegeRelated work experienceExperience using Google for Work
